What is the difference between a private and personal chef?
A private chef is employed by one individual or family full time, and often lives in, preparing up to three meals per day. A personal chef serves several clients, usually one per day, and provides multiple meals that are custom-designed for the clients particular requests and requirements. These meals are packaged and stored, so that the client may enjoy them at his or her leisure in the future.

People who want to improve their cooking skills
People on special diets and healthy eating plans

How much does the service cost?
We only charge for the personal chef services, food is at cost price to our clients (WORKING TO YOUR BUDGET) with all receipts provided. We believe in the power of good ingredients and having the food at cost price to you means you don't have to cut any corners. Please contact us for our terms and conditions and scale of fees.

How long will the chef be here?
The chef will more than likely be cooking several different entrees and side dishes from scratch, this will take several hours. However, your personal chef will be most willing to work with your schedule or situation, and make arrangements in advance, so that the cooking date fits into your schedule.

Do you provide crockery, cutlery, glasses and linen?
Most people prefer to use their own, but we can provide all of the above on request. There is an extra charge for this service (dependent on the quantities) which can be discussed on booking.

Can I have a waitress / butler, as well as the chef?
If you would like a waitress or butler for the evening, we are able to provide this. There is an extra charge for this service which can be discussed on booking.

Do I have to be at home?
No actually most clients prefer to be at work during the cooking process, it's up to you.

What should I do to prepare for your arrival?
Please have a clean kitchen and empty sink with room in your fridge & freezer aswell as a working space for the chef, make sure your oven and gas are working.

Can I provide the ingredients myself?
Your chef will purchase high quality ingredients for you to make sure your meal is consistently excellent. It also ensures that everything required can be sourced. In our experience, we have found that this is the most effective way to operate, giving you one less thing to worry about.

What happens if I need to cancel or change the date of my event?
Our cancellation policy is: Cancel at least 7 days in advance of the date booked: full refund
Change of date or location at least 7 days in advance of the date originally booked: we will endeavour to meet your new requirements, subject to the availability of the chef.
Cancel, change date or change location less than 7 days in advance of the original date booked: we're sorry but we cannot offer you a refund if you cancel or wish to change the date. We may be able to change the location (if the menu, date, time and number of guests remain the same), but cannot guarantee this.

Can I change how many people come to my dinner party?
If you are changing the number of guests please let us know as early as possible.
